Expert sports around the world ground to a stop recently as the coronavirus pandemic prompted one nation after another to prohibit large public gatherings. Numerous sports leagues didn’t await main assistance, preemptively suspending or delaying seasons– in some cases after players or coaches evaluated favorable for the infection.
But prior to pulling the plug, some soccer leagues tried to salvage their seasons by playing video games in empty stadiums, similar to the talk reveals that began shooting without live audiences. The unusual and short-term phenomenon of matches bet a backdrop of empty bleachers showed irresistible to the world’s sports photographers. Really a testimony to soccer’s credibility as the world’s video game.
