The severe curfew and heavy lockdowns seen in Victoria are being offered to citizens on a “incorrect hope” according to Sky News host Chris Kenny.
Mr Kenny stated the shock of what Melbourne is facing is “still dawning for many Victorians”.
A state of catastrophe was just recently stated in Victoria for the next six weeks, bringing with it the country’s hardest guidelines because the pandemic began.
Metropolitan Melbourne is now under stringent stage four limitations that include: a curfew in between 8PM and 5AM, homeowners restricted to a 5 kilometre radius for shopping and workout, trainees go back to remote knowing from Wednesday, funeral services restricted to 10 individuals and wedding events prohibited.
” The concept that a government would enforce a curfew on its individuals in any situations however the most dire wartime emergency situation boggles the mind,” Mr Kenny said.
” And it is generously clear the severe operation in Victoria is being sold on incorrect hope”.
He stated the false hope is people will go through the lockdown and emerge “in nirvana and all will be well”.
” That’s just not the case”.
