In northwest Germany, in the town of Gütersloh, there are now more than a thousand people who have actually tested favorable for coronavirus at a Tönnies meat processing plant, up from just over 800 a day before. Most of the employees are from Romania and Bulgaria, who reside in cramped accommodations supplied by the business. The outbreak is amongst a number of reported at German slaughterhouses in recent months.
