United States President Donald Trump said Monday that he is taking a malaria drug to minimize signs need to he get the new coronavirus, despite the fact that the drug is unverified for battling COVID-19
Trump told reporters he has been taking the drug, hydroxychloroquine, and a zinc supplement daily “for about a week and a half now.” Trump spent weeks pushing the drug as a possible treatment for COVID-19 versus the cautionary advice of a lot of his administration’s top doctor.
