Another News Story goes ‘behind the scenes’ of the news crews reporting the refugee story at the height of the European crisis. It takes the viewer to the opposite of the electronic camera and influences us to re-evaluate our relationship with the global media and how we take in news. Shot across nine countries from Greece to Germany, the movie narrates a journey beleaguered by physical deprivation and danger, bureaucratic and political barriers and countless miles of uncertainty. As the refugees wind their method across Europe they are accompanied by a pack of fellow travelers– reporters, camera-operators, manufacturers and news vans. As he travels with the refugees, British director Orban Wallace turns the video camera in a brand-new direction: the world’s 24-hour news collectors in hot pursuit of the breaking story. The movie was chosen at over 30 international celebrations and nominated for best worldwide documentary at the Grierson awards.
