31 July 2020– Twenty-eight (28) brand-new COVID-19 cases were determined out of 3374 samples checked today. This brings the cumulative variety of confirmed cases to 2 thousand and twenty-two (2022). To date, one thousand, one hundred and six (1106) patients have recovered and been discharged, including twenty-one (21) in the past 24 hours. The variety of active cases is nine hundred and eleven (911) and five (5) deaths.
The new cases remain in Nyamasheke (8) from towns in lockdown, Rusizi (8) & Kigali (7) from high-risk groups, Ngoma (4 ), and Rulindo (1 ); heightened vigilance is required all over. All active cases remain in seclusion in steady condition.
The COVID-19 prevention determines announced by the Government of Rwanda must continue to be rigorously observed, particularly regular hand-washing and physical distancing. In addition, face masks should be used in public and multi-family substances.
Withholding details related to contact tracing or COVID-19 signs, jeopardises public safety and will be penalized in accordance with relevant laws.
