When it comes to the Shenzhen-based corporation, initial financing will go to useful and critically important health supply contributions, including protective equipment and other products for medical facilities and health care first responders.
Tencent notes that the effort is just the latest from the company. It formerly set up an Anti-Pandemic fund to support healthcare employees in its native China, with around $211 million assigned as part of that effort.
” COVID-19 is significantly impacting individuals around the world,” Tencent President Martin Lau stated in a press release. “We are facing this obstacle together and Tencent is committed to supporting the global emergency response.
