QC to perform contact tracing, screening after Belmonte’s favorable COVID-19 test

MANILA, Philippines– The Quezon City Epidemiology and Surveillance System will perform contact tracing and swab tests on individuals who might have entered contact with Mayor Joy Belmonte and 2 other city workers who have tested favorable for COVID-19
In a declaration, Dr. Rolly Cruz, head of the QCESU, said the system is “currently doing contact tracing on all those who had direct contact with the mayor in the last few days.”
City staff members, specifically those on the 3rd and 14 th floorings of Quezon Town hall, who have had contact with Belmonte and the others will take swab tests.
Visitors will also be evaluated, Cruz said.
” Workers who will be evaluated need to go through house quarantine till outcomes are launched as part of protocol,” he also said. Test results are anticipated to be offered within three days.
