MOSCOW (Reuters) – Moscow’s health department stated on Monday it had taped 3,408 deaths connected to the novel coronavirus in June, stating they assisted represent an increase of almost 42%in the city’s death rate compared to the exact same month in 2015.
The regional health department in Moscow, the area worst-hit by the pandemic in Russia, said it had actually recorded 13,128 deaths in June, including 3,408 it credited to the coronavirus.
The department identified 1,605 cases in which the coronavirus had been the primary cause of death and stated that 1,803 others had died of other causes while checking positive for the infection.
It added that there had been 35%less deaths in June of patients believed to have the coronavirus than in May.
The Moscow health department had associated 5,260 deaths to the infection for the month of May.
