PARIS (Reuters) – International airline companies cut their coronavirus healing forecast on Tuesday, saying it would take till 2024 – a year longer than previously anticipated – for passenger traffic to return to pre-crisis levels.
Recovery potential customers are compromised by the spread of COVID-19 in the United States and developing countries together representing 40%of global air travel, IATA stated.
” It will remain to be seen whether we see a recovery to pre-crisis organisation travel patterns,” Pearce said.
” For numerous network airline companies, the premium-paying guests were basically the ones who drove the profitability.”
