Tiafoe tweeted Saturday that he had checked favorable for coronavirus at the All-American Group Cup and had to withdraw from that event.
Tiafoe said he began quarantine after getting word of the test, his favorable coming during the WTT advance travel window to ban him from that competition.
Tiafoe, whose only ATP title came in 2018 at Delray Beach, could return next month in his hometown as Washington is set to host the first ATP Tour occasion because the coronavirus shutdown on 14-21 August ahead of the US Open, which is scheduled to start 31 August in New York.
