Alabama football coach Nick Saban said Saturday he was feeling fine and never had any symptoms after testing favorable for coronavirus earlier in the week. ESPN reported that he had a second unfavorable test on Friday and if he produces a 3rd successive favorable test on Saturday he would be qualified to coach vs. Georgia on Saturday night.
Alabama’s head athletic trainer Jeff Allen stated the PCR test Thursday was performed by the SEC-appointed laboratory.
” He will continue to stay in isolation and get everyday PCR tests,” Allen said Friday.
The 68- year-old Saban and athletic director Greg Byrne both tested favorable on Wednesday.
